Billing and Fee Information

Billing & Fees

Collins Street Medical Centre is a private billing practice and fees are payable at the time of consultation.

The Federal Government have announced that they are continuing the freeze all General Practice rebates at least until 2020. This means that your GP has had an increase of 75 cents for a standard consult since November 2012!

Unfortunately we are not able to continue to provide our high quality of service and innovative health solutions without increasing our fees. We have limited the increase to around 2.5% and have applied to a select number of items. (We have been able to keep fees at the same level for nearly 75% of our services).

The fees at Collins Street Medical Clinic are determined by a combination of factors including - the Australian Medical Association recommended rates and costs associated with running a medical practice.

These fees below are indicative of fees billed by doctors in the practice and patients should be aware that individual doctors may bill at different rates. Charges will vary depending on the length of time you spend with the doctor and the complexity of your medical condition.
